Both. Drop the included grilling grate on top to sear over the open flame, then lift it off and Embr is a pure fire bowl to gather around.

Is it smokeless?

No — and we won't pretend it is. Embr is an open mesh fire pit built for a real, visible campfire that breathes and glows from every side. If you want a sealed low-smoke burn, look at our Ferro or Orb instead. Embr is for people who want the real open fire. Burn dry, seasoned wood for the cleanest flame.

How big is it?

A full 36 inches across and 16.7 inches tall — our widest fire bowl, with room for a real fire and enough warmth to gather the whole group around it. It weighs about 15 lbs, so it's still easy to move.
